Calvary Open Door is a SAFE ZONE.

Why was Jesus accused of being “a friend of sinners?” (Cf. Matthew 11:19; Luke 7:34) It is simply because the so-called “sinners” felt welcomed into Jesus’ presence — always!

It is beyond comprehension that anyone who comes in peace should feel afraid to enter a church where Jesus is said to be present. A church where Jesus is truly present and the Holy Spirit is truly allowed to move ought to be the most inviting and safe-feeling place on earth!

Jesus said, “The one who comes to Me, I will by no means cast out” (John 6:37, NKJV). This is our motto.

There is not one instance in Scripture where Jesus caused a seeker to feel like he or she had to flee from His presence in shame. (If you are reading this to criticize, I challenge you to find one.) No one (except one who comes to cause dissension) should ever feel afraid or ashamed to come through the doors of any church where the Lord Jesus is present.

We are all oppressed sinners, in that we all miss the mark of God’s holiness. But that is exactly why Christ Jesus came — to save us sinners!

“This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief” (1 Timothy 1:15, NKJV).

Therefore, when you enter our doors, you can rest assured that you have entered a SAFE ZONE.

Come! Join us “sinners” who have come to know the Savior!
